| 한스경제=임준혁 기자 | 경남 통영에 위치한 HSG성동조선(옛 성동조선해양)이 8년 만에 유조선 전선(全船) 신조를 개시한다. 조선3사에 선박 블록만 납품해 온 HSG성동조선이 선박을 완전체로 건조하는 것은 2017년 이후 처음이다.

[단독] 삼성重, HSG성동과 유조선 위탁생산 계약 14일 체결… "인력 수십명 이미 파견"

삼성중공업이 국내 중견 조선소인 HSG성동조선에 유조선 2척 건조를 통째로 맡기는 계약을 14일 체결한다. 국내 조선사가 계열사가 아닌 국내 조선사에 선박 건조를 전부 맡기는 것은 이번이 처음이다. 조선업 호황으로 도크가 포화 상태인 삼성중공업과 과거 유조선 건조 경험을 갖춘 HSG성동조선 간의 협업 모델이 본격화하는 것이다. 삼성중공업은 이후 추가로 HSG성동조선에 2척의 건조를 맡길 예정이다.
